Who it’s for

A permit is somebody’s next purchase, filed in public.

Trades

Cages, fences, screens, gutters

Every new house needs a pool cage, a fence, a screen room, gutters, landscaping. The week’s permit list is a list of homeowners about to buy exactly that, with the general contractor named.

Marine

Seawalls, docks and lifts

Cape Coral’s canal lots pull seawall, dock and boat-lift permits every week. The marine list shows each one with the site address and the contractor on file.

New builds and absentee owners

An owner who doesn’t live in the house and just pulled a permit is either fixing it to sell or fixing it to rent. Lehigh Acres issued 58 to 83 new-home permits every week in August.

How it works

Three steps, no software to learn

  1. The county publishes

Lee County posts a weekly “Building Permits Issued” report and the City of Cape Coral publishes its permits and inspections on an open-data server. We read both directly. No scraping of private sites, no purchased lists.

  2. We join it to the owner

Each permit’s parcel number is matched to the county appraiser’s parcel file: owner of record, mailing address, homestead status, last sale and year built.

  3. You get a list every Monday

Filtered to your area, sorted by what matters to you (new builds, pools and cages, roofs, remodels), as a PDF and a CSV. One business per area and per trade.

Questions

Questions

Is building-permit data public?

Yes. Lee County publishes a weekly Building Permits Issued report and Cape Coral publishes its permits on an open-data server. The Lee County Property Appraiser publishes the parcel file with every owner of record. PermitRadar reads those sources directly, joins them, and delivers one weekly report per area, so you skip the hours of digging through county records.

How fresh is the data?

Lee County closes its permit week on Saturday and publishes the report the following week; your report lands the Monday after that, so a permit issued on a Tuesday is usually in your inbox six to twelve days later. Cape Coral permits update nightly and go into the same Monday report. The public feed on this page shows the latest published week.

Do I get contact info?

Every permit includes the site address, type, declared value, scope and the contractor on file. The weekly owner report adds the owner of record and mailing address from the county property appraiser, plus whether the owner lives there. Names and mailing addresses only, never phone numbers. We never fabricate contact data; you get the real public record.

What exactly is in the weekly owner report?

One row per permit issued in your area that week: date, permit type and scope, site address, declared value, contractor, and from the county parcel record the owner of record, the owner's mailing address, whether the owner lives there (homestead), last sale date and price, and year built. New houses have no homestead yet, so on new construction the report flags owners whose mail goes outside the county instead. See the Lee County sample.

What counts as an area, and what does it cost?

An area is up to six ZIP codes or one named community (for example Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers, or a Cape Coral quadrant). The first two weekly reports are free, no card. After that it is $349 a month per area, billed by email invoice only if you say yes, cancel any month by email. One business per area and per trade: one enclosure company, one property manager, one investor, one agent. If two weeks of reports have not paid for themselves in your judgement, do not continue; we will offer the area to someone else.

Can I call the owners on the list?

The report gives names and mailing addresses from the public record, never phone numbers. It is built for mail and door-knocking. If you call or text owners, Florida's telemarketing rules (Statute 501.059) and the do-not-call lists are on you.

Which areas are covered?

Unincorporated Lee County (Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers, unincorporated Fort Myers, Estero, Alva, Pine Island) and the City of Cape Coral in the weekly owner report. Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco and Austin appear in the public feed above as permit data only, without owner joins. Other Florida counties on request.
